Our firm was founded by Daljit Singh who died on 23 August 2022.
Daljit was a force of nature and an enormous part of our firm. He is sadly missed by all who knew him.

Daljit Singh

Founding Partner

Daljit had many years of experience and had been a partner in major law firms in the City, including US firms, before establishing Thor Lion in 2015. Daljit’s experience covered a number of areas, from M&A, private equity, distressed/restructurings and strategic advice and acting for, in each of these areas, various types of stakeholders, both domestically and internationally. We continue to benefit from Daljit’s extensive list of friends and contacts around the world.

David Robins

Corporate Partner

David has a wealth of experience in all areas of corporate finance gained over 30 years in private practice in London and more recently in Hong Kong. He has led major securitisation programmes, run cross-border debt restructurings, advised company doctors and interim managers, and structured “hedge” and other funds.  He returned to London in 2016 having established a new China-facing business for a major international law firm.  Outside legal practice David has held non-executive board appointments and also undertakes independent business and strategic advisory work.

Simon Killick

Corporate Partner

Simon has over 20 years in private practice, followed by 10 years both as a lawyer and principal in the real estate and fund management industry. A corporate lawyer by experience, Simon has arranged and structured real estate and other M&A transactions on public markets, in private equity and in the fund management sector both in the UK and offshore jurisdictions.

Linda Fletcher

Consultant - Real Estate and Environment

Linda has significant experience of both regulatory issues and transactional advice in the real estate, real estate development, real estate finance, hotel, manufacturing, renewable energy and waste management sectors, and both in the public and private arena. In particular Linda is renowned for her advice on sustainability and regulation and regularly speaks, provides training and has published many articles on this subject. Having worked for 2 major US law firms in London, Linda has excellent experience in advising US clients investing into the UK and Europe.

Gajen Manohara

Consultant – Corporate and Commercial Technology

Gajen is an experienced Corporate and Commercial Technology lawyer. He has an ongoing track record of working in and consulting some of the top global companies as well as start-up entrepreneurs in the tech industry, providing pragmatic and commercially-focused advice. He is also a qualified tech professional with a first-class honours degree in information architecture. This background in tech enables him to add better value to clients particularly around M&A, restructuring and negotiation. Gajen has also assisted in closing numerous deals and resolution of disputes in a multi-jurisdictional environment.

Ian Trehearne

Consultant - Planning and Environment

Ian has a long experience in planning and environment law.  He spent 13 years in local government in London before joining Berwin Leighton and rising to be joint head of its market leading Planning and Environment Department.  There he advised on or led a number of major projects including developments in Central London, such as the  Shard, as well as  regeneration projects across the country including the London Olympics and Robin Hood Airport.  Ian also advises  on listed building and conservation cases and on land contamination and environmental matters.  More recently he has advised on the Imperial College development at White City and regeneration in Southall and Ealing.

David Cole

Consultant - Corporate Finance

David has substantial experience of private company M&A, joint ventures and alliances both in the UK and internationally. David spent several years in private practice with leading international law firms before moving in-house. He spent 16 years at Atos SE, the French listed IT services and outsourcing group, where, latterly, he was Deputy Group General Counsel with responsibility for M&A and Strategic Alliances. David completed more than 40 transactions around the world whilst at Atos, including several global transformation acquisitions and transactions in emerging markets.
